Our Sealing Technologies
Our ceramic-to-metal seals incorporate the patented Kryoflex® polycrystalline ceramic and are an alternative to conventional compression glass and metallized alumina ceramics. Kryoflex is a unique material that relieves stress within itself and eliminates one the most common causes of hermetic failure – cracked glass. Kryoflex hermetic seals demonstrate excellent electrical performance, while withstanding mechanical and thermal stresses and it will directly seal into materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum.
Hermetic Solutions Group offers glass-to-metal pin sealing directly into most any iron/nickel alloy connector or housing. Our glass-to-metal sealing capabilities, available at multiple facilities, allow for matched sealing, compression sealing, and high reliability sealing using special oxidation and requiring higher processing temperatures.
